Why should I create an account? Top
Having an account allows you to save your shipping and billing information which makes your following purchases quicker and easier. It also allows us to let you know about deals and promotions we're extending to our members.
How do I create an account? Top
It's simple. Upon checkout, you'll be asked to enter your email address. You'll then be able to check a box indicating you'd like to create an account. All you do from there is create a password and you're good to go.
How do I edit my account information? Top
You can edit your email address, shipping address and billing information from the 'Log In' tab which once signed in, brings you to your account.
What do I do if I forget my password? Top
If you forget your password, please visit the Forgotten Password page or click on the Forgot Password link from the Login page. An email will be sent to you so you can reset your password.
How do I change my password? Top
To change your password, visit the Change Password page which is located under the 'Log In' tab which once signed in, brings you to your account.
I'd like to write a review of my Seams Karmic experience, how can I do that? Top

I'm having trouble seeing the clothes on my iPad. How can I get to see the clothes? Top
We're sorry your having trouble viewing our clothing selections. Since our recent switch over to our new design, we've noticed that our size, season, category, and favorite brand navigation does not show up the way it was intended on the landscape view on the iPad and because of this, the clothing selections appear toward the middle or bottom of your iPad screen. For the best viewing and shopping experience on your iPad, we recommend using the portrait view (or standing up) of the device.

Where do you get your clothing? Top
Seams Karmic is the best way to buy high quality, gently loved kids' clothes as well as the easiest way to clean out your closet full of outgrown kids clothes while making some extra cash. Families that use our Closet Cleanse service provide us with quality kids' clothing that we then put through our vigorous inspection process to ensure that we can give them our quality stamp of approval. What does NWT mean? Top
NWT means New With Tags. Many times we are sent clothes that have never been worn and the tags are still on them. Any NWT item still has to pass our Quality Assurance process in order to be placed in our marketplace.
How do I know the clothing I’m about to buy is in good condition? Top
Our team has years of retail and wholesale clothing industry knowledge. We have extremely high standards that guide us through our vigorous four step Quality Assurance process. Anything that does not meet our standards will not be found in our store.
How often is new inventory added? Top
We are add items twice per week. Keep checking back if you’re looking for something in particular! One day we may not have it, but the next day it could be our ‘Pick of the Day.’
Can I change or cancel my order after it's been submitted? Top
No. Once an order is placed, it goes immediately to our fulfillment team and they begin the process of pulling, reviewing, and shipping your items. If you have an immediate need, however, please email or call us immediately and we will try to work with you.
I had an item in my cart, but when I went to checkout it was no longer available. Why? Top
We're sorry to hear that! That can happen though, because all of our items are one-of-a-kind and if two members have the same item in their cart, but one checks out first, the item will become no longer available. Each item is on a first come, first served basis so if you have your eye on a few great things, don't wait, go ahead and snag those items at checkout.
How long will it take for my order to arrive? Top
Shipping generally takes 3 - 6 business days. It is possible, however, for addresses in Puerto Rico to take slightly longer.
Can I place an order from outside the U.S.? Top
At this time the majority of our shipping is done throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. For a limited time we are offering shipping to Canada. Orders from Canada will not be able to receive Free Shipping on orders $40 or over and will not be eligible to take part in our Closet Cleanse bag service.
How much is shipping? Top
We charge a flat rate of $5.95 for shipping. Unless, your order totals $40 or more; then we’ll send your order with shipping on the house. For Canadian orders, shipping will be applied at the USPS rate of $19.95+tax. Free shipping will be available on Canadian orders of $100 or more.
Can I return an order I'm not happy with? Top
Yes you can. It's rare, but if you are not completely thrilled with your purchase you'll have 30 days, from the time the order arrives at your door, to send us an email with your return information. After midnight of the 30th day, all sales will be marked final. Should you need to return an item, you will receive store credit in the original amount paid for the item being returned. Please note, in order for you to receive a refund or your store credit, all items must return to us in the exact condition that they were sent to you; meaning, no additional wear & tear, odors, etc. Have a question or need to return an item? email us at membercare@seamskarmic.com.

How do I use the Closet Cleanse bag? Top
Easy! You order the bag by itself or with your Seams Karmic purchase. The bag arrives in an envelope with simple and easy instructions on what to do with the bag. Once you open your envelope containing your Closet Cleanse bag, you fill your bag to the top with freshly laundered, like-new kids’ clothes ages newborn to child size 10. Fill out the envelope, throw it in the bag, seal the bag, and put the bag on your front porch or hand it directly to your USPS mail carrier and wait for our confirmation email stating that we received your bag.
How much does it cost to Closet Cleanse? Top
The Closet Cleanse bag service costs you absolutely nothing. It’s FREE!
What can I send? Top
You can send ONLY “like-new” and NWT kids’ clothing size newborn to child size 10. Please refer to our detailed what we accept list for specific details on what to send and what to leave out.
Why is the envelope the bag arrives in important? Top
The envelope is important because you must fill out the information requested to ensure that the credit your bag earns is assigned to you.
How long does it take for you to process my bag? Top
Please allow between 8 - 12 days for processing to be complete. This allows for the item to go through the shipping, receiving, inspection, and payout process. We promise to get you paid as soon as possible.
How will I know my bag(s) made it to you? Top
We will email you as soon as we receive your bag(s). If you mail multiple bags at once it is possible for us to receive one at a time or all of them at the same time. You can make us aware that you sent more than one bag by indicating '1 of x' on the envelope before tossing into the bag. Please note: We will never NOT send you a confirmation email once your bag is received so if it's been more than 10 days since you sent your bag(s) and you haven't heard from us we'd like you to check your spam folder to see if our 'Your bag has arrived' email accidently went to spam. We've had this happen to other moms so be sure to add us to your 'safe senders' list. If you've checked the spam folder and still don't see anything, please send us an email at membercare@seamskarmic.com and we'll check it out.
How does Seams Karmic identify how much my bag is worth? Top
We can identify your bag and its belongings by the information you provide on the envelope and a cross reference to your member account number for verification. As for worth; a bag's value can very according to the different sizes, brands, and quality in each bag sent to us. For instance, a bag full of Gap kids' clothing will yield a higher payout than a bag full of Carter's kids' clothing.
Can my clothes be sent back to me? Top
No. We make a sizeable upfront investment on getting the Closet Cleanse bag sent to you and then again sent back to us. In order for us to keep our store prices at great buys for everyone (up to 80% off retail) we cannot return items to you.
Will you let me know when my bag has been awarded? Top
Once you receive an email from us saying that we've received your bag(s) we start a working frenzy processesing your bag. We require 2 to 3 business days to process your bag(s) and once we're done we will email you with details about your award, what we accepted, your highest earners, etc. Please note: You will never NOT receive an award email from us so if you don't hear from us within 4 business days of us receiving your bag take a peak at your spam folder. If you do not see our 'Your bag has been awarded' email in your spam folder, please email us at membercare@seamskarmic.com so we can look into it for you.
How do I cash out and get my cash? Top
Once you receive an email with the amount your bag earned, you can either receive your payout through your PayPal account or you can use it immediately as credit toward your next Seams Karmic purchase. You must decide which payout you'd prefer by filling out the envelope the bag arrived in, BEFORE mailing the bag back to our team.
Is the payout amount my bag earned negotiable? Top
No. We promise to pay you every dollar and cent your bag is worth in accordance to our strict Quality Standards as well as its current value in the consignment market.
Thanks for my payout, but why didn't you accept all the clothes in my bag? Top
We strictly adhere to our Quality Standards to ensure a superior shopping experience for all of our Seams Karmic family members and if we were not able to purchase everything in your bag, it is because we identified items that did not meet our Quality Standards.
What happens to the clothing Seams Karmic doesn't use? Top
The ultimate goal when sending your outgrown kid's clothing to us is to cash in on every item placed in the Closet Cleanse bag and when you closely follow our list of what we accept, you should earn every penny your bag is worth. Occassionally, however, some items just don't make it past our quality assurance checklist and for those few items, we've created another way to further help you re-purpose your children's outgrown clothes.
We are happy to be one of the only kids' clothing consignment experiences that has a program dedicated to donating the clothes that we are unable to buy and resell in our online store all the while giving the donation credit to our selling members. This program is called NICE SEAMS! Through this optional service, you can receive a donation tax receipt for clothes we cannot buy, but that we can donate on your behalf to children in severe need. The ultimate goal when sending your outgrown kid's clothing to Seams Karmic is to cash in on every item placed in the Closet Cleanse bag and when you closely follow our list of what we accept, you should earn every penny your bag is worth. Occassionally, however, some items sent just don't make it past our quality assurance checklist and for those few items, we've created NICE SEAMS!
The program is an optional donation service, exclusively for our selling members who have sent us a Closet Cleanse bag full of quality clothes to be submitted for our vigorous quality assurance process and cash payout, but one or more of their items cannot qualify for payment. The service is dedicated to donating clothes that could provide warmth and solace to children in need. We donate on behalf of each and every member who has chosen to clean out their closet and take part in this service with Seams Karmic.
How do I participate in the program? Top
It’s easy! You just add a Closet Cleanse bag to your order, then send it back to us with your outgrown children’s clothes, for a chance to earn some cash. Once you receive your bag, you simply fill the bag with gently worn children’s clothes and then send it our way, FREE of charge. The clothes will then be evaluated for quality and cash out. Should any item(s) not make it past our quality assurance checklist, you can choose for the item(s) to be entered into the NICE SEAMS! program for donation on your behalf.
Do I choose to have item(s) entered into the NICE SEAMS! program before or after I send my Closet Cleanse bag? Top
You will have to choose to be entered into the program BEFORE you send the Closet Cleanse back to us. On the envelope your bag arrives in, you will have three options for what you would like us to do with an item(s) should it not pass our quality assurance inspection. You must select the option you would prefer and we'll take care of the rest.
Can I use the Closet Cleanse bag just for donations? Top
NO. NICE SEAMS! is a program that provides an optional donation service for our Seams Karmic members who have sent us a Closet Cleanse bag full of quality clothes to be submitted for our vigorous quality assurance process and cash payout. Should an item(s) not qualify for payout and resale in our shop, the seller has the option for the items be entered into the NICE SEAMS! program. The program is designed ONLY as an optional donation service for our selling members who have followed all the necessary steps and guidelines for cashing in on their outgrown children’s clothes, but for one reason or another, one or more of their children’s clothes didn’t pass our strict standards. NICE SEAMS! is NOT designed to be a stand-alone program and we DO NOT provide Closet Cleanse bags solely for the purpose of donating to this program. The only way to be entered into this optional program is by ordering a Closet Cleanse bag and following the specific steps and guidelines. Be sure to view what we accept! Please note, we reserve the right to discontinue a member’s use of this program should we notice a developing pattern of misuse of the Closet Cleanse bag and the guidelines it falls under.
Can I send junior or adult clothes for this program? Top
No. This program is an optional service for our selling members interested in the opportunity to cash in on their outgrown children’s clothing; therefore, all childrens’ clothes are still required to meet the age and size guidelines that we offer in our shop which is newborn to child size 10.
Can I send ANY children’s clothes for this program regardless if they meet the standards for cashing out? Top
No. All clothes are still required to meet the specific steps and guidelines of selling your outgrown children’s clothes to Seams Karmic via the Closet Cleanse bag. We DO NOT provide Closet Cleanse bags solely for the purpose of donating to this program. Check out what we accept.
Why did Seams Karmic choose the nonprofit organization ‘Note in the Pocket’ to donate my non-resalable children’s clothes? Top
After thorough research and interviews, Seams Karmic chose the nonprofit organization ‘Note in the Pocket’ to receive donations on behalf of its members because the organization is dedicated solely to delivering decent clothes to underprivileged children ages kindergarten to grade 12 that are in severe need.
Why does my donation tax receipt come from ‘Note in the Pocket’ and not Seams Karmic? Top
In order for a donation to qualify for possible tax credit, a receipt must be issued by a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Seams Karmic is a LLC and does not have the ability to issue donation tax receipts.
Why do I need to give Seams Karmic permission to allow ‘Note in the Pocket’ to view my name and address? Top
We need your permission to allow our donation partner, Note in the Pocket, to view your name and address because it is your information. We take your privacy seriously, and will not share any information you have not authorized for us to share. Keep in mind; your name and address are used by ‘Note in the Pocket’ solely for the purpose of ensuring the original donation tax receipt goes only to the original donor and no other reason.
Why does ‘Note in the Pocket’ need my name and address? Top
Your name and address are needed to ensure that the official receipt goes to the original donor. ‘Note in the Pocket’ does not keep your information. In fact, your name and address is sent back with your donation tax receipt. Kind note: the IRS requires strict documentation on non-cash donations made throughout the year. Receiving a donation receipt with your information helps make your necessary record keeping a little easier.
Will ‘Note in the Pocket’ use my information to send me publications or solicitations? Top
No. ‘Note in the Pocket’ does not keep your information at all. Your items are delivered with a note card stating who is making the donation. The note card is returned to us along with the donation tax receipt to be delivered to you, the donor. We then shred and recycle the note card.
How do I receive a donation tax receipt from ‘Note in the Pocket’? Top
You will receive your donation tax receipt through a secure email.
Do you provide a value of items donated on my donation tax receipt? Top
No. We do not value items that are donated. Values assigned to items donated will need to be provided by yourself and/or your tax professional.
When do I receive my donation tax receipt? Top
We currently email out donation tax receipts once a month, on the 20th of every month.
Can I receive a donation tax receipt if I do not wish to give my name and address? Top
Unfortunately, no. ‘Note in the Pocket’ must ensure that the original donor receives the donation tax receipt, and no one else. Therefore, they must be able to provide a name and address on the receipt. Please note, ‘Note in the Pocket’ does not store or maintain your information. They only use your name and address to write it on the receipt and then they send your information back with the receipt itself.
Can I choose NOT to give my name and address, but still participate in the program? Top
Of course! On the envelope your Closet Cleanse bag arrives in, you can check the box that states ‘you want to donate, but do not wish to give your information; therefore, you understand you will not receive a donation tax receipt.’
What happens if I misplace my donation tax receipt, will Seams Karmic have an extra copy? Top
Unfortunately, no.
Does Seams Karmic get any money or donation credit for donations made to ‘Note in the Pocket’ on my behalf? Top
No. We are simply providing an optional service, free of charge, to our valued Seams Karmic selling members.
Does Seams Karmic get the donation tax credit if I choose not to take it for myself? Top
No. If you do not wish to receive the donation tax credit, we DO NOT take it for you nor do we assign that credit to any other party.
Why has Seams Karmic chosen to pass any donation credit on to its members instead of taking the credit for itself? Top
Even though we were unable to provide a cash out for one or more of your gently worn children’s clothes, we can still help you put them to great use! We donate, on your behalf, any children’s clothes left over from your Closet Cleanse bag to children in need of your outgrown children’s clothes. Since we donate on your behalf, we feel it is only right for us to pass the benefits (and good karma) on to you!
How can Seams Karmic donate on my behalf? Top
To put it simply, we are like a brother or uncle dropping off your donation and then bringing you back your receipt. Seams Karmic is merely an “errand runner” delivering your donation to a qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization who, in turn, issues a donation tax receipt directly to you.
Does Seams Karmic have a relationship with ‘Note in the Pocket’ or its affiliates other than being a donor? Top
No. Seams Karmic is an independent LLC. We do not work for or volunteer with ‘Note in the Pocket’ or its affiliates. We are ONLY a donation partner.
Where is ‘Note in the Pocket’ located? Top
‘Note in the Pocket’ is located in Raleigh, North Carolina. They currently service only the county for which they reside which is the 16th largest school system in the United States.
I’d like to offer a suggestion on organizations with which Seams Karmic could begin a donation partnership. How do I do that? Top
We’d love to hear your suggestions! We believe it's important to continue to seek ways to branch out to other children’s outreach organizations that provide clothing assistance in larger cities and/or provide service on a national level.
